Welcome to Refreshing Faith, a ministry of Fresh Faith Community Church in Mount Gilead, Ohio. This blog was created to offer biblical encouragement, practical discipleship guidance, and clear next steps for following Jesus in everyday life.
I’m Pastor Bob Hess, senior pastor of Fresh Faith Community Church. My hope is that Refreshing Faith will help us become more intentional about growing as disciples of Jesus—not only when we gather for worship, but also in our homes, relationships, workplaces, and community. These posts are meant to encourage our church, strengthen our shared culture of discipleship, and help each of us live out our faith with greater purpose.
About Fresh Faith Community Church
Fresh Faith Community Church is a Church of the Nazarene congregation committed to helping people know, love, and share Christ. We believe the good news of Jesus brings forgiveness, hope, healing, transformation, and a new way of living.
We are a community of ordinary people learning to follow an extraordinary Savior. No matter where someone is in life or in their spiritual journey, there is a place for them at Fresh Faith. We desire to be a church where people can encounter God, build meaningful relationships, grow in Christlikeness, discover their purpose, and make a difference in the lives of others.

Our Discipleship Pathway
We believe following Jesus is a lifelong journey. To help people understand and take their next step, we use a simple discipleship pathway:
Gather
We gather to know, love, and share Christ together. Worship, prayer, fellowship, and encouragement remind us that the Christian life was never meant to be lived alone.
Grow
We grow as we spend time with Jesus and allow Him to transform our hearts and lives. Through Scripture, prayer, accountability, Bible studies, and small groups, we are learning to become more like Christ.
Give
God has given every believer gifts, abilities, experiences, and resources that can be used for His purposes. We give by serving others, supporting the ministry of the church, and faithfully using what God has placed in our hands.
Go
Jesus sends His followers into the world to demonstrate and share His love. We go into our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and community as witnesses of the grace and hope we have found in Christ.
Gather. Grow. Give. Go.
These are more than church programs. They describe the kind of life we believe Jesus is calling us to live.
When We Gather
Fresh Faith Community Church
Sunday Worship — 10:30 a.m.
Our Sunday gathering includes worship, prayer, biblical preaching, fellowship, and opportunities for the entire family to grow in faith.
Campfire Community
Sunday Evening — 6:00 p.m.
Campfire Community is a welcoming worshiping community built around the mission of seeking wholeness and community through Christ.
Additional Bible studies, prayer gatherings, accountability groups, ministry opportunities, and community events are announced throughout the year.
